Portalview vs Buildertrend
Buildertrend is a US construction management platform covering sales, estimates, scheduling, financials and a client portal. Portalview is only the client portal, set up on top of the tools you already use.
Buildertrend does more. Portalview changes less.
Buildertrend's portal is part of a large platform, with selections, change orders, chat and online payments. Portalview gives clients progress, photos, documents and payment status without you switching platforms.

It depends on what you want to change.
Buildertrend may suit you if
- You want one platform for sales, estimating, scheduling and financials
- You want selections, change-order sign-off and online payments inside the portal
- You're ready for a bigger change and the training that comes with it
Portalview may suit you if
- You want clients kept up to date without changing platforms
- You'd rather pay for a portal than a whole platform
- You want a local team to set it up and brand it for you
What Portalview doesn't do: selections, variation sign-off, chat and online payments. If you need those in the portal, an all-in-one platform like Buildertrend covers more. Portalview focuses on answering the questions homeowners ask most.
